This morning a single whale was sighted just off Ben Buckla this whale displayed some nice fluke up dives as it slowly swam along. Blows from another single humpback was sighted this one was rather shy and had long downtimes. A pod of three were reported further south and these were picked up before heading back to the Harbour.
This afternoon a pod of two very active whales were spotted just off Macquarie Lighthouse this afternoon. The passengers were enthralled by a double breach after many breaches by both whales. They also performed pectoral fin and vigerous tail slaps to the delight of our passengers.
A few Black Browed Albatross and Shearwater sea birds were out soaring the troughs this afternoon. The seas were moderate with a 15k SSW breeze making the afternoon on the water a little cool. A great day was had by all.
