This afternoon has been a sensational day on the water.
The Captain reported a pod of 3 humpbacks passed the Heads this afternoon as they followed these they performed many graceful fluke up dives as the majestic Black Browed Albatross soured across the ocean waters. Another pod were sighted just 1 mile farther out slowly cruising along. These humpbacks were both very large as their blows were quite large fountains. As they breathe out there is oil mixed with the air. This forms a slick on the water for a short time and this is what we call the whales footprints.
